Our language study program in Cairns has officially begun. Yesterday, our students departed from Kansai International Airport and, after a seven-hour flight, arrived safely in Cairns. Although they looked a little tired, they were also clearly excited to begin this new experience.

After arriving, we traveled to a language school located near Kewarra Beach. The students were warmly welcomed by friendly staff members from a variety of cultural backgrounds. They then participated in an orientation session, where they learned about daily school routines, including how to spend their time at school and how to communicate and live with their host families.

Following the orientation, the students met their host families. While waiting, many appeared slightly nervous and unsure. However, as soon as they saw the welcoming smiles of their host families, their expressions quickly changed. They greeted them with cheerful “Thank yous” and left the school with bright, excited faces.

In the afternoon, each student began their homestay and spent time with their host family. From tomorrow, they will start immersive, all-English lessons. We look forward to seeing how they grow through this valuable experience.

ケアンズでの語学研修がいよいよスタートしました。昨日、生徒たちは関西国際空港を出発し、約7時間のフライトを経て無事にケアンズに到着しました。少し疲れた様子も見られましたが、新しい経験への期待に満ちた表情も印象的でした。

到着後は、Kewarra Beach近くにある語学学校へ向かいました。そこでは、さまざまな国籍のスタッフの方々が温かく迎えてくださり、生徒たちはオリエンテーションに参加しました。オリエンテーションでは、学校での過ごし方に加え、ホストファミリーとのコミュニケーションの取り方や生活の仕方についても学びました。

その後、生徒たちはそれぞれのホストファミリーと対面しました。待っている間は少し緊張した様子も見られましたが、ホストファミリーの笑顔を見ると、すぐに表情が和らぎました。元気な “Thank you” とともに、明るく期待に満ちた様子でそれぞれの家庭へ向かっていきました。

午後はホストファミリーと過ごし、ホームステイ生活がスタートしました。明日からはいよいよ、英語のみで行われる体験型の語学学習が始まります。この経験を通して、生徒たちがどのように成長していくのか、とても楽しみです。
